A History of St Bede's College, Vol 1
The first volume in a trilogy of books chronicling the History of St Bede's College, Manchester.
Covering the period 1876-1891, it explains why St Bede's was opened in 1876 and why the original Commercial School failed to thrive.
Volume Two 'The Classical Reality' will cover the period 1891-1948, when St Bede's functioned as a very successful private Classical College and Junior Seminary.
Volume Three 'Grammar School Days' will look at the post 1948 era, when the College became a Direct Grant Grammar School.
